Vernon Wells added four ribbies to his seasonal total with one swing of the
bat and Dontrelle Willis was able to finish what he started and was credited
with a complete game at Trailer Park as the SSB SSB Tar Heels, running on all
cylinders, ripped the Santa Fe Trailer Bitches by a large 14 to 1
margin.
Wells provided the offensive punch. He cleared the bases with a Grand Slam
homerun (his 18th of the season) in the 1st inning and delivered a one-base
hit in the 8th inning. SSB managed 16 in their victory.
Willis(14-6) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 1 run. Gil
Meche(9-8) was charged with the loss. With this win, SSB has a 74-58 record.
They have been 4-6 lately. With the loss, the Santa Fe ballclub's record is
64-68.
